Danielle Cartwright

     I started working for FABCare in May 2010, but I have worked with children since the age of 14. I started working for my mother in her after school program as well as her daycare.  I have worked with children from infancy up to 5 years old.  I graduated from ACDS in 2012 and completed the West Virginia Infant Toddler course.  I received my associate in early childhood education and graduated from Marshall University with a Regents Bachelor of Preschool Education.

Karen Harmic

      I started in early childcare back in 1989 at another facility where I worked for 14 years with several age groups.  God lead me to FAB in 2002 as a toddler teacher.  I became an Assistant Director in January 2008 and in August of 2008 I was the Interim Director . I accepted the position as Director in November 2009.  I have an Associates Applied Science with an emphasis in Early Childhood Degree.  I also am a graduate of the ACDS, Apprenticeship Child Development Specialist,  program.

I am so excited to spend time with your children and help him/her grow. After spending 37years in nursing, I retired and did some traveling. Having our children grown I had time on my hands and loving children, I came to work at FAB 4 years ago. Best decision ever. I still enjoy traveling, singing in church, doing crafts and baking.

     I began working at FABCare in 1999 and prior to that I worked at another child care center for 8 years. I along with Mrs. Linda was the first infant room teachers for the center when FABCare opened it in 1999.

     I have worked in early childhood for over 25 years. I have an Associate Degree in Early Childhood plus a certificate in ACDS.  I have two grown sons and two beautiful granddaughters.  I feel fortunate to work with the older toddlers. They are learning so much and we have so much fun.

I started working in childcare in 2014. I have worked with various ages but mostly older infants/younger ones. I love watching some of the little ones develop a personality. I love watching some of the little ones from crawling to taking their first steps.

I Have a B.A. in Early Childhood Education with a minor in psychology. During my time in college, I student-taught in different centers and this is my first year working in a child care center. I love being able to help children learn and grow!

I've been at FABCare since Jan. 2022, but never had a classroom of my own. After recently graduating from Marshall University in Dec. 2022 with a B.A. in Early Childhood  Education, I accepted my current position and haven't looked back. I am a child at heart with a love for music, creativity, and discovery, and I hope during your time with us, your child will grow to love learning and creating, too.

I have been at FABCare for over a year and I have loved every minute of it! I graduated from Mountwest in April with my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. I will be going to Marshall University in the fall to continue my education. I am also a child at heart like Ms. Laura and we love letting the children discover, explore, and create. I hope during your time with us your child will enjoy the messy fun activities and the goofiness of their teachers.

I have been in childcare for almost 20 years. I've taught preschool, young 2's, and infants. I've attended Marshall, MountWest and completed ACDS, WWIT I & II. I love early childhood education for many reasons! It keeps me young, I get to express my creativity but the best part is helping children meet their milestones!

I began working at FABCare in February 2019 and before coming here I worked at another childcare center for three years. I wasn't sure what kind of work I wanted to do until I became pregnant with my oldest son and started working at a childcare center. I enjoyed watching children discover new things and the excitement in their eyes. I have a certificate for ACDS and I am certified in CPR and First Aid. Alongside work I have two ornery and sweet boys, two cats and a ferret at home.

I've Been with FABCare for four years and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. In April, I received my associate degree in early childhood education at MountWest. I work in childcare because I want to have a positive impact on the lives of children, build relationships with children and fellow caretakers, and have the opportunity to learn and grow.

     I have worked at FAB for 20 years. I first found my love of early childhood in college when I had an undecided major. I then took a part-time job at a child care center back in the early 90s. I fell in love with the early childhood profession. Along with my college hours, I completed the ACDS program in 1992. Being an early childhood educator has brought great joy to my life. I enjoy not only helping a child grow and learn, but I also love being able to show the love of God with each one. On a personal note I am married with two children and in my spare time I enjoy my dogs, football, and needle work.

From 2015-20I7, I volunteer as a Junior Staff at the Boys & Girls Club of America and have loved working with youth since. I have been working in Early Education for almost 5 years now and hope for more to come. Bouncing from the early 2s to Substitute to now full time in the Thunder classroom, I've seen it all. Also the Assistant Director of the Huntington High Show Choir and part of the Youth Advisory Group(TAY) at Marshall University.

I worked in an After School Program from August 2009 through January 2014.  In 2014 I graduated from Marshall University and began working with 3 and 4-year-olds at another child care program.  In January 2017 I started working for FABCare while I was working on my Masters Degree.  In April 2017 I began working in the Crawler Classroom at FABCare until June 2018 when I started working with the four-year old classroom and I am presently working in the Cabell County Pre-K classroom .  I have my Bachelor Degree in Finance from Marshall University and a Master Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix. I also completed the Apprenticeship for Child Development Specialist and West Virginia Infant Toddler programs.

I started working for FABCare on October 26, 2016.  Working with young children is an amazing job because, who else gets greeted by twenty smiles and hugs each day.  I have received my Regents bachelor's degree from    Marshall University majoring in Early Childhood Education.
